Which bristle of toothbrush heads is best

Authoritative doctor’s recommendation, 3 months to replace the electric toothbrush head.

The bristles will bend and wear using for 3 months and significantly reduce the clean effect for most people.

You need to replace the brush head in time; so, which bristle of toothbrush heads is best?

The softness and quality of the bristles determine the ability to clean the mouth and the degree of health.

At present, toothbrushes on the market are mainly made of PP(polypropylene) bristles, PBT polyester resin (bamboo charcoal bristle, spiral bristle) soft bristles, PA (nylon, DuPont bristle) bristles, etc.

The bristles of electric toothbrushes are mainly made of PA (DuPont bristle) and PBT (bamboo charcoal bristle, spiral bristle) soft bristles.

Table of Contents

1. PP(polypropylene) Bristles

PP bristles, primarily used in hotels or cheap toothbrushes, usually the bristle will fall down after use 1 or 2 times.

2. PA (nylon, DuPont bristle) Bristles

2.1 Ordinary Nylon Bristles

Ordinary nylon bristles wire costs less than 2/3 of the price of DuPont bristle (610).

However, it is poor toughness, and the bristles will be badly deformed within a month.

Our factory never uses ordinary bristles and does not make low-quality toothbrush heads even if we lose orders.

2.2 Dupont Bristles

The top and bottom of Dupont bristle(610) are the same thick and rounded at the top; it has characteristics of abrasion resistance, toughness and cleaning power.

It is representative of high-quality nylon filaments, and many electric toothbrushes on the market use it.

The Dupont Tynex bristle(612) is more high-end than the Dupont bristle(610), with better performance and higher prices.

If you want to use a higher variety of Dupont Tynex (612) bristles this is also possible.

3. PBT Polyester Resin (bamboo charcoal bristle, spiral bristle) Soft Bristles

PBT soft bristles from the Japan Toray Group have high resilience, softness, and low water absorption features.

The manufacture of PBT material is more expensive.

Generally, it is used as high-end soft bristle toothbrush material, suitable for the Asian mouth.

We hope you found this information helpful in deciding which type of toothbrush bristle is best for you.
